Hello Gamers and more importantly JRPG-fans! Up next is for unboxing Tales of Zestiria. The game is released back in January 2015 by Bandai Namco. Since we already have quite a few games from the Tales of series, this game can’t be missed. Therefore, we would like to share with all of you the Unboxing Time Tales Of Zestiria Collector’s Edition.
First of all, Bandai Namco gave away 2 free DLC’s, 1 one of them had a really short deadline, a moment later and you had to pay. However lucky enough, Ruben managed to secure one, as the game was a present and thus didn’t know about the existence of the deadline. A small explanation to the help desk of Bandai Namco, attached with a copy of the order date and voila! Hence there it was, a DLC worth of €10,- for an extra chapter named: Alisha’s Story.
However, lets get back to the unboxing. The box itself appears to have the look of a really big box. You can separate the 2 halves by removing the topside. Quite creative here because normally it would be just a normal box, you know what we mean? 😆
As you can see above, there are 4 Chibi Kyun Chara figures. The sizes off all of them are around 2.5 inch. Yeah, Dilla really wish for a taller version
hehehe. Despite with the ‘cute’ sizes, the developer really put details with them. So, it is not a total disappointing by having this edition. From left is Mikleo, Alisha, then the main character Sorey and the last one is Edna.
Collectors edition usually comes with an art book. For this game, the book is hardcover one and 100 colourful pages. In the book, you can see the characters, sketches and enviroments. In our opinion, it is just perfect size because the book is not too heavy or not too thin.
Next item in this Tales Of Zestiria Collector’s Edition is an exclusive Normin metal case. Why is it an exclusive one? Actually the metal case is only for Europe market. Gosh, we feel exclusive too
hahaha. Let’s continue then with the front side. The case’s front side features what we call a companion of the characters. Just like Teepo and Rollo in Tales of Xillia I & II.

There are two disc in the case. First one is 30 minute anime Blu-Ray disc which actual time is 44 minutes. They name it as ‘Dawn of the Shepard’. We first watched this anime before Dilla started to play the game. From our point of view, we found it brilliant because it gives the first look of the games. Besides, it shows a bit of what to expect when you start the journey.
The second disc is the selected soundtrack from the game itself. The music is composed by two talented people namely; Motoi Sakuraba and Go Shiina. There are 12 songs in the disc which we found a bit too short for such a cool JRPG-games. On the other hand, the songs are high in standard so that quality balances the above feeling.
The last item that we have here is the ‘Lady of the Lake’ sanctuary cloth artwork. Once more, this item is only for Europe distribution 😛 . For now, we can only keep this artwork back in the box. We do have an idea to display it in a frame. We believe it will look stunning with the black and white antique look on the cloth.
Tales Of Zestiria Collector’s Edition
Overall, we think that this edition is good. However, we do wish for a bigger figurine because it is much more easier to make them stand. That is because with these 4 Chibi Kyun Chara figures, we need to use the support to make all characters stable in standing up. Bear in mind, the supports are also come with small sizes. So yeah, hopefully Bandai Namco will read this post 😎 and make changes to Tales of series figurines.
